Lundbeck Chair Dorothea Wenzel to Step Down as Lars Fruergaard Jørgensen Named Successor

H. Lundbeck A/S said Dorothea Wenzel will step down as Chair of its Board of Directors at the 2027 Annual General Meeting, and the Board intends to appoint Lars Fruergaard Jørgensen as her successor. The announcement was made by news.cision.com.

Wenzel's Exit and Jørgensen's Observer Role

Dorothea Wenzel joined the Lundbeck Board in 2021 and served as Chair of the Audit Committee until she was appointed Chair of the Board following the AGM in March 2025. She informed the Board she will step down in connection with the AGM in 2027.

Effective 10 November 2026, Lars Fruergaard Jørgensen will join the Board as an observer until the AGM 2027, at which time he is expected to be formally elected as a member of the Board, subject to shareholder approval. The nominated candidates for the Board will be included in the notice convening the AGM 2027.

Lars Fruergaard Jørgensen served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Novo Nordisk from 2017 to 2025, following senior leadership positions across the company's global organization. He has more than 30 years of international experience in the healthcare industry and has served as President of the European Federation of Pharmaceutical Industries and Associations. He currently chairs the Board of Directors of Healthcare Denmark and is a member of the Board of Directors of Danmarks Nationalbank. He holds an MSc in Finance and Business Administration from Aarhus University.
