Thomson Launches 50-Inch QLED and 55-Inch Mini-QD TVs During Flipkart Big Billion Days

Thomson expanded its television and washing machine portfolio in India ahead of the festive season, launching a 50-inch Full HD QLED smart TV, a 55-inch Mini-QD 4K model and a 12kg semi-automatic washing machine during Flipkart's Big Billion Days sale. The Times of India reported the launches. The 50-inch Alpha QLED is priced at Rs 23,499, the 55-inch Mini-QD at Rs 34,999 and the washing machine at Rs 12,999.

Thomson's New TVs and Washer on Flipkart

The new Thomson television models are available on Flipkart during the Big Billion Days sale. The 50-inch Alpha QLED model features a Full HD QLED display with up to 400 nits of brightness and a bezel-less design, runs Coolita 3.0 with access to streaming apps, live channels and pre-installed games, and carries 40W surround sound with HDMI, USB and Miracast connectivity. The 55-inch Mini-QD 4K television supports 1.1 billion colours, claims up to 550 nits of brightness, and supports HDR10+ and Dolby Vision for compatible content, with 120Hz HSR, Variable Refresh Rate and Auto Low Latency Mode for gaming. It runs Google TV with Google Assistant, built-in Chromecast and AirPlay support, and includes an 80W Dolby Audio stereo box speaker system with four speakers and Dolby Atmos support. Thomson also introduced a 65-inch JioTele OS TV with a 4K QLED display, brightness up to 450 nits, 48W Dolby Audio stereo speakers and a voice-enabled multilingual remote. The 12kg semi-automatic non-WiFi washing machine, priced at Rs 12,999, has a 5-star energy rating, three wash programmes named Gentle, Normal and Strong, a Dual Waterfall feature, a Rotor Wings pulsator, a Magic Filter and a Plastic Filter Board, a 35-minute wash timer, a 5-minute spin timer and a spin speed of 1,400rpm.

Flipkart's Meta Partnership and Funding Record

Flipkart Group partnered with Meta in June 2026 as an affiliate partner enabling creators to tag products from Flipkart and Myntra directly within Facebook posts and Reels, earning commission on sales generated, according to akta.pro company records. Flipkart acquired a majority stake in Minivet AI, a startup specializing in generative AI tools for ecommerce, in December 2025. The company raised $3.6 billion in a July 2021 pre-IPO funding round at a $37.6 billion valuation, led by CPPIB, GIC, SoftBank and Walmart.

Flipkart's Big Billion Days Run-Up

Flipkart Internet reported an 18% year-on-year revenue increase to Rs 1,45,880 crore in FY26, with consolidated net losses narrowing to Rs 8,468 crore, Moneycontrol.com reported in October 2026. The Times of India reported the same month that gross margins expanded 23% year-on-year and adjusted operating losses fell by about Rs 1,600 crore. Business Today reported in October 2026 that Motorola is offering Moto G series phones with 7000mAh batteries and 50MP cameras on Flipkart during the Big Billion Days Sale, with prices under 20,000 rupees.

Thomson's Lucky Draw During the Sale

SPPL, Thomson's exclusive brand licensee in India, announced a Grand Lucky Draw contest during Flipkart's Big Billion Days sale. Customers who purchase eligible Thomson, Kodak or Blaupunkt televisions on Flipkart can participate, subject to the contest conditions. The contest runs over the first 10 days of the sale and will have 10 winners, with one winner selected each day from the 100th eligible customer who purchases a qualifying television with a minimum cart value of Rs 8,499. The prizes include a Tata Punch, a Honda Activa and Thomson LED televisions in screen sizes ranging from 24 inches to 75 inches.
