MemeCore Integrates LayerZero and Stargate to Bridge $M, $USDC and $USDT to BNB Chain and Base
By News Desk ·
Key takeaways
- MemeCore integrated with LayerZero and Stargate to bridge $M, $USDC and $USDT, with BNB Chain and Base as the first supported networks.
- Stargate provides onchain liquidity contracts and a unified bridge front end, while LayerZero supplies the messaging layer underneath.
- MemeCore's M token is used for transaction fees, staking and the network's Proof of Meme mechanism, and the network is EVM-compatible.
MemeCore has integrated with LayerZero and Stargate to bridge its native assets, including $M, $USDC and $USDT, to BNB Chain and Base, the company said. The first supported networks are BNB Chain and Base, the Ethereum layer-2 network backed by Coinbase, according to CoinMarketCap.
How the LayerZero and Stargate Integration Works
The integration makes MemeCore an omnichain platform, the company said. MemeCore describes itself as a Layer 1 blockchain built for "Meme 2.0," and CoinGecko's project profile says the network aims to move meme-based assets away from pure speculation and towards sustainable cultural and economic use. Until now, users who wanted to move assets between MemeCore and other chains had fewer native routes available.
The two protocols play different roles. According to LayerZero's documentation, Stargate provides onchain liquidity contracts and also runs a unified bridge front end that routes transfers for Stargate assets and LayerZero Omnichain Fungible Tokens. LayerZero supplies the messaging layer underneath. A Not Boring analysis notes that bridges such as Stargate operate on top of LayerZero rather than being part of it.
MemeCore is EVM-compatible, according to CoinMarketCap, which makes connections to other EVM networks such as BNB Chain and Base technically straightforward. The M token is used for transaction fees, staking and the network's Proof of Meme mechanism, Bitazza reports, so easier cross-chain access could widen where the token can be held and used. Bridges remain a known risk area in crypto: a 2023 Business Wire release on a separate Stargate integration cited a study indicating roughly half of DeFi exploits occur on cross-chain bridges. Other networks, including Starknet, have also connected to LayerZero and Stargate to access wider multichain liquidity.
MemeCore's Exchange Listings and Hard Fork
MemeCore's M token was listed on major centralized exchanges including Binance Alpha, Bitget and Kraken following its July 2025 launch, enabling mass retail distribution and liquidity access, according to akta.pro company records. The same records show MemeCore executed a network hard fork on March 25, 2026 reducing gas fees by 100x, from 1,500 gwei to 15 gwei, while adding account abstraction and improved EVM compatibility, triggering a 39% weekly price surge. MemeCore was founded in 2025, is headquartered in Singapore, and has an estimated valuation of $500 million-$1 billion, the records show.
MemeCore's Path to the Bridge Launch
MemeCore principals Puple AI Inc. and Blockcat Pte. Ltd. agreed in August 2026 to contribute $1 billion worth of MemeCore tokens to Nasdaq-listed ZeroStack Corp in exchange for equity and warrants, FinanceFeeds reported. Yahoo Finance and CryptoBriefing reported on a token-for-equity deal between MemeCore and ZeroStack, acquiring 925,925,926 $M tokens valued at $1.08 each in exchange for 3.5 million common shares, according to TheCoinrise Media. MemeCore was scheduled to release 56,111,112 M tokens on September 2, 2026 at 02:46 UTC, about 2.5 percent of its circulating supply, valued at roughly $57.7 million, CryptoTicker ENG reported.
LayerZero's Aerie Signature System
LayerZero Labs unveiled Aerie, a signature aggregation system that compresses Falcon signatures into compact proofs, Crypto Briefing reported on October 16, 2026. It aggregated 32,768 Falcon-512 signatures in 0.65 seconds on a laptop CPU, achieving 46,000 signatures per second with 42-byte proofs.
