David Wej unveils DWS Signature luxury arm at Lagos viewing with Loro Piana fabrics

David Wej launched David Wej Signature, its luxury arm, at an event in Lagos on October 10, 2026. The line was created with fabric mills including Loro Piana, Drago, Vitale Barberis Canonico, Kerry Knoll, Thomas Mason and Brownmore, Businessday reported. The brand has six Lagos branches and international stores in London, the UK, Canada, the US and Europe.

The event, tagged The Exclusive Viewing, was held at 42 Admiralty Road, Lekki Phase 1, Lagos. It served as the official launch of David Wej Signature, described as the brand's luxury arm, created with textile artisans and fabric mills.

Adedayo David Eweje, Founder and CEO of David Wej, said the brand began as a corporate menswear label focused on suits for men. "Today, we are launching David Wej Signature, the luxury arm of David Wej," Eweje said. "When you want to offer luxury, you have to consider certain factors, which are the raw materials, the accessories, and the craftsmanship."

Eweje said the line responds to customers who have outgrown ready-to-wear. "We have served customers for 19 years, and we will continue to serve them," he said. "Some customers have outgrown ready-to-wear, that's one of the reasons we are introducing 'DWS Sig' so we can grow with our customers."

Tola Obimakinde, Manager of the Ikeja branch, said the Signature line moves beyond conventional ready-to-wear. "This branch is different because we are introducing our highest expression of modern tailoring, distinguished by superior fabrics, craftsmanship, and uncompromising finishing," Obimakinde said.

Vitale Barberis Canonico was profiled by PRLog on October 15, 2026 as one of five Italian textile mills producing premium fabrics in Biella, Piedmont, alongside Loro Piana, Reda, Zegna and Zignone.
