The group plans a cumulative investment of around ₹1 trillion over the next three to four years.\n\n## Avaada's Gopalpur and Nagpur Green Fuel Plans\n\nAvaada is setting up two projects, one in Dighi, Maharashtra, and the second in Gopalpur, Odisha, Mittal said. Feed engineering is happening in Gopalpur, and the company is moving closer to binding agreements for offtake, with signing expected by next year.\n\nThe methanol project in Nagpur and the proposed green ammonia project in Dighi are in the conceptualisation stage. Avaada plans to set up a total of four green fuel facilities in the years ahead and is in talks with buyers from Europe for long-term offtake agreements for green ammonia.\n\nThe Gopalpur green ammonia plant has received Renewable Fuels of Non-Biological Origin certification from the European Union for 85% of its fuel, and is expected to be commissioned around 2030. For the Nagpur green methanol plant, Avaada has sought land allocation from the Maharashtra government and the process is ongoing, with RFNBO certification also under process.\n\n\"The first project (in Gopalpur) is around ₹20,000 crore. In case of (green methanol plant in) Nagpur, the land allocation and size of the project is not yet finalized, so the number is not clear, but we want to do it in the same range,\" Mittal said.\n\n## Avaada's Funding and Capacity Records\n\nAvaada Group is an Indian privately held clean energy conglomerate that develops utility-scale solar, wind, FDRE, and battery storage projects under long-term PPAs with government utilities and C&I off-takers, while manufacturing N-Type TOPCon solar modules and cells through subsidiary Avaada Electro, according to [akta.pro company records](https://akta.pro/company-data).\n\nThe same records show Avaada secured approximately $950 million in debt financing from a seven-bank consortium in June 2026 for its Bikaner FDRE project and two 300 MW solar projects in Rajasthan and Gujarat. Avaada also commenced operations at India's largest solar cell manufacturing plant in Butibori, Nagpur, with 6 GW capacity and an investment of about ₹13,000 crore.\n\n## Avaada's Recent Expansion Moves\n\nIn October 2026, Avaada Group was evaluating Europe and West Asia for solar exports, with Europe focusing on Italy, Germany, the Netherlands, and Spain, Financial Express reported. In September 2026, Avaada Ventures said it would raise ₹3,515 crore via NCDs and $398 million through an ECB for debt refinancing, The Times of India reported.\n\nIn August 2026, Avaada Group signed an MoU with Haryana's HEPC to build a 300-acre Zero-CBAM green industrial campus in Hisar, investing about ₹10,000 crore and creating over 5,000 jobs, KNN India reported.\n\n## What Comes Next for Avaada\n\nThe manufacturing push comes ahead of a proposed ₹7,600 crore initial public offering of Avaada's solar module manufacturing arm, Avaada Electro, planned for the end of this year. Avaada aims to build 30 gigawatts of renewable energy capacity by 2030, supported by the group's planned investment programme of about ₹1 trillion, Mittal said.\n","publisher":{"name":"News for Agent","url":"https://newsforagent.com"}}
