World Gym Corporation has signed a lease for its second Bangkok club at S-OASIS, a commercial and office development by SET-listed Singha Estate, with the club scheduled to open in the first quarter of 2027. The announcement, published by TradingView, follows brisk presales at the company's first Thailand club at Samrong and is the initial phase of a plan to open 30 fitness centers in the kingdom in five years.
World Gym's S-OASIS Lease and Thailand Plan
The S-OASIS club spans more than 3,000 square meters and is expected to serve office workers, corporate tenants and residents in the surrounding urban community. World Gym Samrong, at Imperial World Samrong in the Bangkok metropolitan area, launched presales in late September 2026 and signed over 1,000 presale members in two weeks. World Gym Corporation is Taiwan's largest fitness operator and owner of the global World Gym brand, which was founded in California in 1976 at Muscle Beach; in 2024 the company acquired World Gym International, taking ownership of the brand and its intellectual property and operating rights.
John Caraccio, President of World Gym Corporation, said: "We have ambitious plans for Thailand and see the market as our beachhead for growth across Southeast Asia." Sivilai Pinsuwan, General Manager of World Gym Thailand, said surpassing 1,000 presale members in two weeks demonstrates strong pent-up demand for large-format fitness centers in Thailand.
World Gym is also bringing HYROX to Thailand. It is already HYROX's largest partner in the Asia-Pacific region, with the collaboration spanning its clubs in Taiwan, and plans to extend the partnership to Thailand later this year, entering a market where HYROX Bangkok drew more than 17,000 athletes in March. The South China Morning Post reported on October 15, 2026 that Hyrox warned a group calling itself the Hyrox Association of Macau is not affiliated and has no authority to run races.
World Gym's Franchise and Brand Record
World Gym has pursued active franchise recruitment through a dedicated franchising website to expand the brand into new US and international markets, according to akta.pro company records. The company marked its 50th anniversary in 2025 with refreshed brand positioning and launched World Gym Athletics, a studio-style small group training program combining HIIT, Olympic Lifting and functional training at select locations. Its locations span US states including Arizona, California, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Maine, Maryland, Montana, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oregon, Texas and Virginia, alongside international markets.
