Rosatom aims to deliver its first floating nuclear power plants abroad in 2030, deputy CEO Andrei Nikipelov said. Manturov gave the comments in an interview with [Interfax](https://interfax.com/newsroom/top-stories/119570/).\n\n## Manturov's Two-Stage Nuclear Plan for Indonesia\n\nManturov said cooperation between Russia and Indonesia in the nuclear field has great potential, and that the country is considering nuclear energy as one of the instruments to ensure long-term energy security. \"Rosatom is offering Indonesian partners a two-stage approach to the implementation of nuclear energy projects. The first stage is the deployment of floating small-capacity generating units in the country, and the second is the construction of onshore NPPs with large-capacity reactors,\" he said.\n\n\"We are seeing great interest from private Indonesian companies in Russian floating nuclear power plant projects to supply energy to industrial clusters located in remote areas,\" Manturov said. A Russian delegation led by Manturov is on a working visit to Jakarta on October 16 that is expected to include a number of bilateral meetings.\n\nRosatom has an active floating NPP project in Russia with capacity of 70 MW in Pevek, Chukotka, including the Academic Lomonosov floating energy unit. The company is also building four floating power plants with combined capacity of 424 MW to supply power to the Baimsky GOK copper mining project, with the first unit to be launched in 2028 and the fourth in 2031.\n\n## Rosatom's Export Order Book\n\nRosatom's order book covers 41 energy blocks in 11 countries at different stages of implementation, the world's largest portfolio of nuclear power plant construction orders, according to [akta.pro company records](https://akta.pro/company-data). The same records list 2026 moves including the start of construction on Uzbekistan's first integrated nuclear power plant, combining two VVER-1000 reactors and two RITM-200N small modular reactors at a base cost of US$9.5 billion, and an intergovernmental agreement with Kazakhstan for the Balkhash Nuclear Power Plant, a US$16.4-16.5 billion project for two VVER-1200 reactors.\n\n## Earlier Rosatom Partnerships\n\nOn October 15, 2026, NTPC proposed developing six nuclear reactors with Rosatom at an estimated ₹1.5 trillion capital expenditure, part of a 2014 India-Russia agreement to build 12 reactors, Today News (Mint) reported. On October 9, 2026, [ROSATOM](https://akta.pro/company-profiles/0005ap7/rosatom) and IIT Bombay launched Atomic Hack India 2026, a hackathon for engineers to design a ZDOP scheme for a 220 kV transmission line integrating nuclear and renewable sources, The Times of India reported. On October 7, 2026, Rosatom's logistics division entered the top 14 transport operators of BRICS countries after buying a stake in Delo, CEO Alexey Likhachev said, according to TASS.\n","publisher":{"name":"News for Agent","url":"https://newsforagent.com"}}
