Ocean State Job Lot launched its 11th annual "Buy, Give, Get" coat donation program on Oct. 15, 2026, letting customers buy a $45 winter coat for veterans and others in need and receive a $45 Crazy Deal Gift Card in return, Yahoo reported. The retailer expects about 90,000 coats to be available through the promotion.

How the Buy, Give, Get Program Works

Under the program, customers purchase a winter coat for $45 that carries a retail value of $200 or more and donate it back to the store. Participants then receive a $45 Crazy Deal Gift Card usable on a future purchase online or at any Ocean State Job Lot location. The coats will be distributed through a network of more than 50 support agencies, organizations and assistance programs serving people in need, including veterans. Since 2016, the initiative has provided more than 450,000 coats to people in need across the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic. The promotion began Oct. 15 and runs while supplies last. Participants must be registered as Job Lot Insiders, and the offer cannot be combined with other discounts or promotions. It excludes certain items, including gift cards, clearance merchandise, propane tanks and refills, beer and wine, kayaks, and live plants and flowers.
