Magnoli Technologies announced native payroll processing at Drycleaning & Laundry Expo East, launching for select customers in the fourth quarter of 2026. The company said the service handles direct deposit, pay stubs and payroll tax filing inside the same platform that runs the counter, the plant and the schedule. The announcement came at the Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center in the Washington metropolitan area, according to PR Newswire.

Magnoli's Payroll Rollout and What It Replaces

Magnoli's payroll service begins rolling out to select customers this quarter, with broad availability for all customers coming soon thereafter. The company said its implementation team will personally migrate each customer from its current payroll processor. Managers approve the pay period on a single screen, and Magnoli handles direct deposits, pay stubs and payroll tax filing.

Until now, one step in the payroll process still lived outside Magnoli. After approving payroll, the business user exported the numbers to a separate processor to pay employees and file payroll taxes, meaning a second system, a second login and a second bill. Magnoli users already schedule each location against sales-based labor targets, and the platform warns managers before an employee slips into overtime and flags missed punches and long breaks before they reach the paycheck. Paid time off accrual, bonuses and overtime are calculated automatically.

"I know how much of an operator's week is taken up by administrative work," said Justin Koh, co-founder and CEO of Magnoli Technologies. "I developed the tools we needed at my own dry cleaner so we could spend that time on customers, quality, and growth." Koh is also executive chairman of Timeless Cleaners Inc. and CEO of its primary operating company, Al Phillips Cleaners. Using tools created by Koh and the Magnoli team, Al Phillips Cleaners reduced labor expense from around 60% of sales when Timeless Cleaners acquired the business in 2023 to under 40% by 2025.

Magnoli's Platform and Payment Partnerships

Magnoli Technologies provides an AI-enhanced, cloud-native SaaS operating system purpose-built for U.S. dry cleaning and laundry operators, according to akta.pro company records. The company publicly launched the Magnoli Platform, an AI-enhanced, cloud-native operating system for U.S. dry cleaning operators, emerging from stealth at the Drycleaning & Laundry Expo West in Dallas on March 27, 2026. The same records list a multi-vendor payment and merchant services integration ecosystem spanning Stripe, Paystri, REDROCK, Ingenico, Clover and Dejavoo, giving operators freedom to retain their preferred payment processor without exclusive tie-in. The U.S. dry cleaning and laundry services industry market size is $10 billion.
