Juro Ships Microsoft Copilot Connector, Joins Legal Skills Launch Wave

By ·

Key takeaways

  • Juro launched a Microsoft Copilot connector on October 16, 2026, built on the Model Context Protocol.
  • The connector lets users search contract content and smartfields, analyse documents, draft from approved templates and update smartfields inside Copilot.
  • Juro is among the first legal tech partners in Microsoft's Legal Skills program, and its MCP server already supports Claude and ChatGPT.

Juro released a connector for Microsoft Copilot on October 16, 2026, letting users search, analyse, draft and update contracts without leaving Microsoft's AI assistant. The launch also places Juro among the first legal tech partners in Microsoft's Legal Skills program, EIN Presswire reported.

How the Juro Copilot Connector Works

The connector lets customers work with contracts and contract data from inside Microsoft's enterprise AI assistant. Users can search contract content and smartfields using natural language, analyse documents to surface key terms, risks and unusual clauses, draft new contracts from approved Juro templates, and update smartfields without leaving the Copilot chat. Juro gave an example query: "Which of our contracts terminate in Q3, and are there any non-standard termination clauses?"

The connector is built on the Model Context Protocol, an open standard for connecting frontier large language models to business systems. Juro's MCP server already supports Claude and ChatGPT, giving customers a choice of assistant. A legal operations manager at a FTSE-listed global consumer brand said the Copilot connection removes the need to download contracts into Copilot first, eliminating a local-copy step.

Juro CEO and co-founder Richard Mabey said many users already work inside Microsoft tools and now start their day in Copilot, making contract handling there a time-saver. Juro said it is part of Microsoft's first wave of Legal Skills as AI continues to reshape legal work. Britain's competition watchdog proposed giving Microsoft strategic market status in business software, potentially allowing interventions in bundling of products like Excel, Teams, and Copilot, Channel NewsAsia reported.

Juro's Funding and Platform Scale

Juro has raised $31.5 million in total funding since 2016, including a $23 million Series B, according to akta.pro company records. The company has processed 3 million contracts for innovative companies globally and serves 85+ countries with platform presence. Its funding rounds on record number 5, starting with a $750,000 seed in 2017 and a $2 million seed in 2018.
