Iondrive has entered Oklahoma's formal incentive qualification process for its first commercial rare earth recycling module after the state accepted its Quality Jobs application, TradingView reported. The proposed operation could qualify for approximately $5.2 million in state and local benefits within a broader framework potentially exceeding $15 million across three modules.
Iondrive's Oklahoma Quality Jobs Application
The application was received and date-stamped, but no incentive has been approved, and any eventual benefits depend on eligibility and operating performance. Completion of Iondrive's US entity registrations allowed the Quality Jobs application to be accepted for processing, fixing the relevant application date and beginning established state procedures.
The next stages involve an eligibility determination and negotiation of an applicable incentive agreement rather than the automatic release of funding. Quality Jobs payroll rebates form part of the proposed support alongside eligible state and local tax incentives and workforce training assistance. These measures are intended to reduce the effective cost of establishing and operating the facility but are performance-based rather than upfront construction cash. Access will depend on the operation meeting employment, investment and other applicable program requirements, with similar arrangements potentially available for later modules.
Iondrive is separately seeking support through Oklahoma's Governor's Quick Action Closing Fund, a discretionary initiative outside the estimated three-module incentive package. It is also exploring federal, state, and Tribal Nation assistance that could provide cash grants, site and infrastructure support, or other eligible project funding, each of which requires separate assessment and approval. The company is also pursuing a targeted $18 million senior debt facility under the US Department of Agriculture Business & Industry Guaranteed Loan Program, potentially guaranteeing up to 80% of qualifying lender exposure.
"Our job is to get the first module into commercial operation and build a business that can expand from there," chief executive officer Dr Grant Caffery said.
Iondrive's Funding and Partnership Record
According to akta.pro company records, Iondrive closed a A$2.59 million placement in November 2025 to Ilwella, Regal Funds Management, Strata Investment Holdings, and Terra Capital. The same records show the company secured a A$3.9 million Australian Federal Government grant in June 2025 to build a pilot plant for sustainable battery recycling.
Iondrive Limited (ASX: ION) is an Adelaide-based critical mineral recovery company that licenses its proprietary IONSolv Deep Eutectic Solvent platform to industrial recyclers, battery recyclers, mining companies, and e-waste processors in Australia, the US, and Europe for recovering rare earths, battery metals, and precious metals from complex waste streams, according to akta.pro company records.
What Comes Next for Iondrive
Iondrive intends to complete the remaining Quality Jobs steps while progressing the discretionary funding applications, lender discussions and engineering work. The first commercial module still requires engineering, permitting, financing, and a final investment decision by the board. No grant or guarantee has yet been awarded.
