[GroBro](https://akta.pro/company-profiles/003pvmn/grobro) showcased its Adaptive Library at ESFE 2026, an approach that uses reading proficiency insights to guide book recommendations in school libraries. The education solutions company presented the initiative to school leaders and education stakeholders at the event, according to [PRLog](https://www.prlog.org/13177191-grobro-showcases-indias-first-adaptive-library-at-esfe-2026.html). The approach centers on the GroQuotient framework and pairs it with curated GQ-Mapped Books and a library management system.

## How the GroQuotient Framework Works

The Adaptive Library places the reader at the centre of library planning. GroBro said students in the same grade may have access to the same books, but their ability to read, understand and interpret those books can differ considerably. Book recommendations in schools often rely on age or grade, indicators that do not always reflect a child's actual reading proficiency.

The GroQuotient (GQ) is GroBro's framework for understanding reading proficiency, including comprehension, vocabulary, inference and the ability to connect ideas and make meaning from text. Through the GQ Test, schools gain insights into students' reading proficiency. Those insights inform the curation of GQ-Mapped Books, helping schools build library collections that are more responsive to students' reading needs.

The approach brings together reader insights, curated books and a Library Management System that lets schools manage book inventory, circulation and user access through an online dashboard. Librarians can use the information to guide book recommendations and help students find books appropriate for their reading proficiency. GroBro said the approach encourages schools to consider where children are as readers rather than relying solely on grade-based recommendations.
