AXIS-Y Plans Second Cheongdam Headquarters With R&D Lab and Flagship Store for May 2027

AXIS-Y will open its second Cheongdam headquarters in May 2027, a building that will house an R&D laboratory, an in-house content studio and a first-floor flagship store. The Korean beauty brand announced the plan on October 16, 2026, according to PR Newswire. AXIS-Y sells in more than 100 countries and its team has roots in more than 20 countries.

Inside the Second Cheongdam Headquarters

The new building brings together an R&D laboratory, an in-house content studio, a first-floor flagship store and shared spaces. The laboratory is planned to support sample preparation, formulation testing and product evaluation, while the content studio is intended for photography, video and storytelling. The flagship will include integrated displays, a testing sink and spaces for hands-on exploration, and its design draws on AXIS-Y's climate-inspired philosophy with nature and climate imagery, textured surfaces, green glass and signature mint accents.

The CEO personally selected the interiors, furniture and lighting with employee wellbeing in mind, and warm materials, softened edges and indirect lighting create a consistent visual language across work, meeting and break spaces. Two basement levels are planned to include a pantry, lounge areas, informal meeting spaces and a stepped gathering area for town halls, training and presentations. An open office layout and the CEO's open-door policy are intended to make leadership accessible, and the company encourages interns and junior colleagues to share opinions and suggest alternatives.

Beauty Retail Expansions Elsewhere

Adore Beauty opened its 16th store at Melbourne Central on October 9, 2026, its largest flagship, and plans to bring its groupwide network to 25 stores by year-end, Insideretail reported. Bodycare will open its fifth new-generation Studio Store at Merry Hill on October 10, 2026, a 3,000 sq ft site with a Creator Studio and piercing service, Insidermedia reported. CJ Olive Young expanded its Sephora partnership across 48 stores in Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand and Hong Kong, Global Cosmetics News reported, with each market carrying 12 to 17 Korean beauty brands and about 120 products.
