wisepatientAI launched AI-powered search on October 15, 2026, letting patients ask questions about their own medical records in everyday language and receive answers based on those records. The company announced the capability in a PR Newswire release. The feature is free and available on the Apple App Store and Google Play.
How the wisepatientAI Search Works
Patients download records from one provider and can bring medical records from multiple healthcare providers into one organized health profile, according to the company. Users can view records chronologically, read available clinical notes, review test results, and see organized lists of conditions, medications, allergies, immunizations and procedures. The new search lets them ask questions across those records using AI.
A patient can ask, "How has my A1c changed over the last five years?" "What medications was I taking?" or "What did my doctor say about my knee pain?" wisepatientAI searches the patient's medical history to find and explain the relevant information. The company said the capability is not intended to replace medical advice or diagnosis.
"AI has changed the way people search for and understand information. Now patients can use that same power to understand something far more personal — their own health," said Arvind Raichur, CEO and co-founder of wisepatientAI. "wisepatientAI already brought a patient's medical records together, organized them and made them easier to understand. Now they can ask questions about their own health history in plain English and use AI to find answers in their records. It's an important milestone: moving patients from access, to understanding, and now to interaction."
The company said the capability can also be valuable for caregivers coordinating care for family members across multiple healthcare systems. "Caregivers are often trying to piece together a medical history while also caring for someone they love," Raichur said. "Now imagine being able to simply ask the AI about your mom's records, 'What medication is mom taking for blood pressure?' or 'What did her cardiologist say at her last visit?' AI can make something very complicated much more manageable."
wisepatientAI has been featured in national Wellness Wednesday presentations from Senior Planet from AARP, introducing older adults and caregivers to digital tools that help them access and understand their health information. The company said its security is more robust than what HIPAA requires, with patient information stored using secure AWS infrastructure and protected using healthcare-focused security controls.
wisepatientAI's Earlier Search and Partner Rollout
According to akta.pro company records, wisepatientAI released a Natural Language Search feature powered by a proprietary in-house AI engine in March 2025, enabling patients to query aggregated medical records using everyday language instead of medical jargon. In January 2025, the company launched a strategic partnership with the Association of Mature American Citizens to distribute the wisepatientAI app as a complimentary benefit to AMAC's 2+ million members aged 50 and older. In 2024, it established a senior-focused distribution partnership with Senior.com to position the app as a complimentary member benefit targeting older adult healthcare consumers.
The same records show wisepatientAI connects users to more than 7,000 trusted healthcare providers, including VA hospitals and Medicare, and that the DrOwl Health Technology suite of applications has been installed on over one million devices worldwide. wisepatientAI is a subsidiary of DrOwl Health Technologies, LLC, founded in 2019 and headquartered in Albuquerque.
