Stand raised a $70 million Series C at a $1 billion valuation, led by Saga Ventures, the company said on October 15, 2026. The round brings Stand's total funding to $130 million, according to PR Newswire.

Saga Ventures Leads Stand's $70 Million Round

Saga Ventures led the round, with participation from Lowercarbon, Eclipse, Equal Ventures, Inspired Capital, Neotribe, and Jackson Square Ventures, among others. Stand now insures more than $10 billion of property, up from $1 billion a year ago.

Stand said it is building toward a single mission: to insure all the world's resilient property by making homes safer and insurance cheaper. The company said a billion-dollar weather disaster now strikes the U.S. every 10 days, and that insurance is still priced by looking backward at past disasters.

Stand's approach starts with simulation. The Stand World Model creates a digital representation of every home and simulates how it will perform under fire, wind, and other disasters, accounting for the home's construction, its surroundings, and the weather it faces. Stand analyzes a specific home, recommends improvements, guides owners through the work, connects them with trusted partners, and confirms completed improvements on their behalf. Resilient homes are less likely to burn in a wildfire, and Stand shares the savings from this reduction in risk with homeowners in the form of discounts of up to 70%.

"Disasters follow the laws of physics, and insurance should too," said Dan Preston, co-founder and CEO of Stand. "If your home is resilient, you should be rewarded with a low premium and never have to worry about losing your coverage."

Stand also announced two senior executive additions. Drew Saad joins as President of Property & Casualty, most recently Chief Underwriting Officer at PURE Insurance. Tony Landi joins as Chief Financial Officer, most recently Head of Strategic Growth at Nephila, and before that Head of Reinsurance & Capital Management at Openly and Head of Portfolio Management at Everest Re. At Stand, Landi will lead finance, reinsurance, capital markets, and growth strategy.
