Hyderabad-headquartered Raghu Vamsi Group, through its UK manufacturing arm PT Precision Machined Components (PT-PMC), has signed a three-year MoU with the University of Sheffield's Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre (AMRC). The Hindu reported the agreement on October 15, 2026.
What the PT-PMC and AMRC Agreement Covers
The AMRC is a leading institute in super alloys and single crystal castings. Raghu Vamsi said the agreement will strengthen its manufacturing footprint in the UK and India and support its diversification into the aerospace and defence sector. It will help bring AMRC's expertise and build the know-how for the Super Alloys facility the Group has proposed in Telangana.
PT-PMC and AMRC will work together to strengthen manufacturing processes and introduce advanced, digitally enabled practices across PT-PMC's UK operations. Their partnership will also look at specialised capabilities and technology-led improvements to meet the sector's future requirements.
"As we set up a super alloys facility and R&D centre in Telangana, this collaboration will help us build the technology foundation for the sector, with the vision of making the State a global leader in super alloys," said Vamsi Vikas Ganesula, managing director of Raghu Vamsi Group.
A key focus will be strengthening the UK-India supply chain. AMRC will assess logistics, carbon impact and inventory linked to the movement of materials between the UK and India, and the partners will explore ways to improve efficiency and prepare PT-PMC for relevant aerospace and defence industry accreditations.
Raghu Vamsi's Earlier Expansion and Funding Moves
According to akta.pro company records, Raghu Vamsi Machine Tools signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Andhra Pradesh Economic Development Board in May 2026 to establish a ₹500 crore Aerospace & Defence manufacturing facility spanning 100 acres, focused on micro turbojet engine manufacturing, UAV manufacturing and integration, with a dedicated UAV testing and flight validation range. The same records list a 2026 Series B round of $41.5 million led by Norwest and Skegen Asset Management, and annual revenue exceeding $60 million.
The Superalloy Plant Timeline
Raghu Vamsi Aerospace Group announced at the Farnborough International Airshow 2026 that it will set up a ₹600 crore integrated superalloy manufacturing facility on 50 acres in Telangana, BusinessLine reported in July 2026. The Times of India reported the same month that commercial production is targeted for January 2028, with annual output of approximately 5,000 tonnes. Machine Maker reported on October 12, 2026 that the Group appointed Dr S K Jha, former MIDHANI CMD, as CEO of its Advanced Materials Division, overseeing the integrated nickel-based superalloy facility in Telangana.
Commercial Production Target
