The company reported the figure after its July-September 2026 quarter results, [CNBC TV18](https://www.cnbctv18.com/market/earnings/groww-sebi-rule-hit-derivatives-revenue-retains-25-30-percent-long-term-growth-outlook-q2-earnings-results-boardroom-sebi-cas-fintech-alpha-article-20012398.htm) reported.\n\n## Groww's Derivatives Revenue Falls 14%\n\nBansal said the sequential slowdown was largely limited to equity derivatives after the cash-equivalent regulations came into effect from August 1. Without that impact, he said the company would have delivered quarter-on-quarter growth across the business. \"If we wouldn't have had that drop, we would have actually had quarter-on-quarter growth in our overall business,\" he said, adding that \"once that change is applicable, there will be a recovery in the equity derivatives business.\"\n\nBansal said September trading activity improved over August, although it is still too early to assess October. He added that market volatility remains another important driver for the business. \"As the volatility goes up, the volume goes up, and if volume goes up, our business does well,\" he said.\n\nGroww also benefited from a surge in IPO activity during the quarter, with more than 30 public issues contributing to a sharp rise in other operating income. Bansal said IPO-related income should remain healthy in the current quarter as several offerings are lined up through October and November.\n\n## Groww's Funding And Market Position\n\nGroww is India's largest stockbroker by active NSE clients, operating a full-stack digital wealth platform serving over 21.6 million registered retail investors, according to akta.pro [company records](https://akta.pro/company-data). The same records list nine funding rounds on file, including a $183.2 million post-IPO secondary in September 2026 and a $556.9 million post-IPO secondary in May 2026. Groww's market capitalisation stands at ₹1.36 lakh crore, up nearly 80% from its listing value of ₹79,000 crore at its November 2025 IPO.\n\n## Groww's Quarter And Client Growth\n\nGroww reported Q2 net profit of ₹726 crore, up 54% year-on-year, with revenue of ₹1,501 crore, up 47%, The Times of India reported. Equity derivatives revenue fell 14.3% quarter-on-quarter due to SEBI's consultation paper, which the company expects to normalize once implemented.\n\nGroww's active client base rose to 1.34 crore in September, while Zerodha lost 5,313 clients and Angel One added 36,956, Inc42 reported. Indian brokers' combined NSE active clients grew 1.6 lakh to 4.61 crore despite benchmark indices falling 6.1% and 5.8%.\n\n## Groww's Promoter Reclassification\n\nGroww's board approved its unaudited Q2FY27 standalone and consolidated results and the reclassification of certain promoter group members to the public category, ScanX reported. The reclassification is subject to SEBI Regulation 31A approvals, with applications pending.\n","publisher":{"name":"News for Agent","url":"https://newsforagent.com"}}
