Daily Journal's Cash Deal for Revir

Daily Journal Corporation is a Los Angeles publishing and technology company whose Journal Technologies subsidiary provides case management software to courts, justice agencies and government organizations across about 37 states and internationally. Revir Technologies sells Scout, which indexes files from hundreds of sources, offers search and supports AI-assisted analysis inside each customer's own secure Amazon Web Services environment.

Scout serves federal, state and local law enforcement, public safety and national security agencies, and Revir reaches them through procurement channels including AWS Marketplace, SEWP, NASPO ValuePoint, OMNIA Partners and Texas DIR. Revir will keep operating independently as part of Daily Journal's newly established Courts, Justice, and Government Technology division, alongside Journal Technologies. Founder and CEO Marc Messina and his team will continue to lead Scout's development and growth, and existing customer contracts, partner integrations and support remain in place.

"I'm delighted to welcome Marc and the Revir team to Daily Journal," said Steven Myhill-Jones, Chairman and CEO of Daily Journal Corporation. "I believe there are considerable opportunities for Revir and Journal Technologies to serve common and related customers in complementary ways, including through our partners." Messina said the deployment model lets agencies manage growing volumes of sensitive files while retaining control over costs and long-term technology choices.

Daily Journal said the acquisition is not expected to have a material effect on its financial condition or results of operations. Journal Technologies revenue growth lifted Daily Journal's total consolidated revenue to $27.0 million in the third quarter of fiscal 2026, a 15.3% increase from the prior-year quarter, Seeking Alpha reported on August 13, 2026.
