Bloomberg Law announced a connector on October 15, 2026 that gives legal professionals access to its federal and state court dockets data and litigation intelligence through Microsoft Copilot. The company said the integration lets users search and retrieve docket details and filing information, monitor matters with alerts and tracks, and surface litigation insights inside the AI tools they already use. PR Newswire published the announcement.

How the Copilot Connector Works

The connector uses Model Context Protocol, a standard that connects AI applications with external data and tools. Customers can search Bloomberg Law dockets and draw on litigation intelligence directly within Copilot, without conducting a separate search on the Bloomberg Law platform.

"Legal professionals are choosing where AI fits into their work, and they want access to reliable legal information in those tools," said Aaron Pierce, head of Bloomberg Law. "This connector lets our customers monitor litigation activity, review and compare filings, understand broad litigation trends, and identify opportunities, all without leaving Copilot."

Bloomberg Law said the Microsoft integration is part of its broader approach of meeting legal professionals where they work, on the Bloomberg Law platform or in third-party tools. The company said these connections give customers more choice in how they access Bloomberg Law intelligence for awareness and analysis. Microsoft completed pre-training of MAI-Base-2, its second in-house foundation model, after the compute-intensive phase, according to Crypto Briefing.

Bloomberg Law's Docket and Analytics Record

According to akta.pro company records, Bloomberg Law's court docket research platform covers more than 1,800 state courts. The same records show a November 2025 strategic data integration partnership with Courtroom Insight that combines Bloomberg Law's docket data with Courtroom Insight's analytics platform, enabling consolidated matter intelligence and predictive analytics for law firms. Bloomberg Law also developed its Dashboard Legal product in partnership with Paul Hastings LLP, expanding from a pilot program to 177 active users managing over 3,100 tasks in six months.

In July 2026, the company announced its participation in the 2026 American Association of Law Libraries Annual Meeting & Conference in Cleveland, Ohio, where it showcased AI-powered legal research capabilities designed for law firms, law schools, courts, and government organizations, according to PR Newswire. Bloomberg Law and Bloomberg Regology debuted AI-powered capabilities at the ACC Annual Meeting in October 2026 to connect legal and regulatory changes to business implications, with Watchlists, BLAW AI, and Workspaces and new interoperability capabilities previewed, PR Newswire reported.
