Nicca Chemical has named Archroma the exclusive textile-industry distributor for ZELAN DWR products and related Teflon EcoElite technology worldwide, following Nicca's March 2026 acquisition of ZELAN from The Chemours Company. B2B Marketplace reported the agreement, which continues Archroma's marketing and technical support role.

Archroma's Worldwide ZELAN Distribution Role

Under the agreement, Archroma will continue as the exclusive textile industry distributor of ZELAN DWR products and the related Teflon EcoElite technology worldwide. Archroma will spearhead marketing initiatives for the solutions and provide technical support to mills and brands worldwide, as before.

ZELAN R3 is PFAS-free and contains 63 per cent plant-based materials, sourced from non-GMO and non-food-source feedstock. The technology helps brands deliver rain and stain protection, with runnability for uninterrupted processing and compliance with industry standards. ZELAN R3 is bluepass certified and published on the ZDHC Gateway with Conformance Level 3.1.

ZELAN finished textiles will also qualify for Archroma's upcoming HIGH IQ lastingrepel assurance program, giving brands a consumer-facing mark of DWR performance, durability and sustainability.

A Nicca spokesperson said: "When we acquired the ZELAN business, we inherited more than top-tier technology — we inherited the trust that mills and brands have placed in this platform for over a decade. Keeping Archroma as our exclusive distribution partner for the textile industry means that trust doesn't have to be rebuilt. Customers get the same product, the same Teflon EcoElite support and the same partner they already know."

Roland Borufka, Product Manager, Finishing and Technical Textiles at Archroma, said: "PFAS-free durable water repellents have moved from a niche alternative to a baseline expectation for major outdoor and outerwear brands, and ZELAN has been central to that shift. As Nicca's exclusive distribution partner for the textile industry, we're supporting customers through this transition with uninterrupted supply and technical support everywhere they do business."

Archroma's Textile Partnerships and Scale

Archroma's textile business has been built through partnerships, according to akta.pro company records. In April 2026, Archroma announced a co-marketing partnership with HeiQ to combine antimicrobial and odor-control technologies with its global textile distribution network, showcased at Techtextil 2026. In December 2025, Archroma funded development of a sustainable textiles laboratory at Mumbai's Institute of Chemical Technology, extending its R&D footprint into India. The same records show Archroma operates across more than 90 countries with employees in 42 countries, over 5,000 employees and more than 30 production sites.
